Glamour, and Concepts Shoots
Modeling, some dream about it. Some go out and reach for the stars to become a professional model. I have several published images and concepts shoots in magazines, calendars, websites articles. I have a college degree in Photography, and I have attended several posing and lighting workshops.
If you are looking to start a portfolio, or to add to an existing one. This is a place to start out. I have agency connections, in Ottawa and Toronto areas. also a few internationally.
Fee's to this type shoot depends on location, concept, and experience of the "model".
I also work with fashion, and jewelry businesses to promote and advertise each other's business.
I have experienced a lot of clients/models approach myself, and other photographers, in hopes of collaborating in a "TFP" shoot. This is basically, time for time. No money exchanged, other than the respect that participates will credit each member involved, so everyone is recognized for their involvement in creating the images posted online. This is fine, in a huge collaboration, with multiple models, and photographers, looking to create something unique. But for myself, this is not hobby, it's a profession. Thousands of hours and dollars, and also schooling. My job is not cheap to get into. Tattooist, gym coaches, and even most MUA, and hair dressers don't asked to work for free, no matter how popular the model. So ask yourself, why does a photographer have to? Our equipment is expensive, our training is expensive, our required upgrades are expensive, and this makes my time, experience, and training valuable.
Models, or people looking to get into modeling, need to take their hard earned money, pay a professional photographer, and buy the hi res images for their print portfolio, then approach the agencies. It is the agencies who cover the cost of having your photoshoots. I know this, I shoot for agencies several times a year. Because if your pushing yourself, showing dedication, and improving your skill in the industry, your agent will pay for your images, and the agent is also who gets you hired for fashion shows and runways, and this is where a model will get an income, not from the photographers. we have as living to make to.
Also check the "Boudoir" and "Creative Concepts" sections for more photo samples
$200 is the starting fee for this shoot, MUA/Hair are available at an extra fee.
Location could have travel fee's over 15kms
